As you know, I document a lot of events and milestones on Frenchy. Yet the reason I began to do so in the first place, was all to do with my outfits. I love sharing what I wear to different events, as I always put such an effort into styling my outfits from head to toe. Choosing the dress is not something I take lightly. I find it so enjoyable looking for unique pieces, so with that in mind, it is only fitting that I share with you one of my favourite dresses to date. But before I jump into the outfit description, here is exactly how I celebrated the milestone of 21.
On Friday night, I celebrated my 21st birthday with a small group of friends at an intimate dinner at Rosetta Ristorante. We had a cosy function room within the restaurant dedicated just to us, which added an extra sense of comfort and intimacy. Dinner was served in three courses: primi, secondi and dolci, and all Italian by nature. The food was divine, and the company even better!
Before we knew it, the night came to a close. I guess time really does fly when you are having fun… Luckily for me, I had Kylie Iva Photography document the beginning of the night. With all these pictures, I know that I will always be able to look back on such a special occasion. And while I will not be sharing every picture from night (there are too many for one post), I would love to share my outfit with you all!
On the night I wore an exclusive Manning Cartell dress. The dress was a Limited Edition Stealing Beauty Dress, with only a handful made across Australia (one per size per boutique). I remember admiring it when I went into the store, but I initially thought it might be too over the top for a dinner party. Then, after trying on nearly all the dresses in-store, I decided to give it a try, and long behold it was the one! It is such a piece of art, with its intricate bead and sequin detailing, and a dress I truly love. It reminds me a lot of Kim Kardashian’s Balmain Bachelorette Party Dress (see here) in some ways!
Seeing as the dress is such a statement, I toned it down with the accessories, opting for my neutral Christian Louboutin patent heels, and a blush pink Coach bag. I also kept my jewellery simple, with plain pearl studs, which complimented the beading on the dress.
I had my hair and makeup both professionally done, because it was my birthday and you should always #treatyoself right?! My makeup was done by the lovely Emily from Emdee Makeup (see here), with my lipstick from MAC in the colour Syrup. My hair was also done by an Emily, this time from Maison Tsukimi hairdressers.
I cannot believe how quickly my birthday passed! All I can say is… what a magical night!
A big thank you to my beautiful friends who helped celebrate such a special night with me.
