Last weekend I ventured off to Sydney with my family. It was the perfect way to unwind and relax, something we all needed. While we had been to Sydney before, it had been quite a long time since our last visit. So it was great to return much older, wiser and keen to explore!
Arriving on Friday afternoon, we were all exhausted by the time we made it to our hotel. We were staying at the Four Seasons, and the view from each of our rooms was picture perfect.
Saturday was our only full day, and in true tourist style, we took a hop on, hop off bus around the city. It was a great way to fit everything that we wanted to see, into the limited amount of time that we had. From the CBD, the bus took us to Bondi Beach, Double Bay, and Rose Bay.

We spent a lot of our day in Bondi Beach, and who could blame us! The sky was blue, the sun was shining, and we were in one of Australia’s best tourist attractions.
We enjoyed a lovely lunch in Bondi at Hotel Ravesis, where we sat out on the balcony, which overlooked the beach. For lunch I ordered the barramundi, and I was certainly not disappointed. This combined with the beach views, I did not want to leave!
We took advantage of the Sydney weather, and went for a walk around Bondi. Here is what I found…
At night we went for dinner at a Chinese restaurant at The Star. It was interesting to see what Sydney’s own casino was like, but I do have to say… it is no Crown!
Sunday meant we were Melbourne bound, and the reality of being back home sank in as soon as I stepped off the plane and felt the crisp autumn air.
While it was only a quick trip, I really enjoyed my time away in Sydney. It was good to see new sights, and be a tourist for the day!
