Travel Journal – Barcelona

Day 1

After nearly a whole day lost in travelling, I finally arrived in Barcelona on the 30th of June. It was a Thursday, and by the time I left the airport it was around 3pm.

I was staying at W Barcelona. During my previous stay in Barcelona, I stayed in the city centre. It was great to try something different this time by staying beachside, especially being summer!

Walking into my room, I could not stop staring at the incredible view…

At around 9pm I met up with my best friend Bella and her family, and went for dinner at the hotel restaurant Bravo. The food was delicious, and by the time we finished our meal it was nearly 1am… #onlyinspain

Day 2

On our second day in Barcelona we met for breakfast at the same restaurant from the night before. We sat on the outdoor decking and enjoyed some sunshine. It was a lovely way to start the day. The breakfast was beautiful, and I especially loved the Spanish omelette.

We spent the rest of our day sipping Sangria by the pool – if only every day was this easy!

At 3pm we headed towards the Port of Barcelona, where we boarded the Celebrity Constellation for our thirteen-night Iberian Peninsula cruise.

Once on the ship, we spent our afternoon exploring the facilities. It was like a little world on the ship. There were pools, a gym, many restaurants, cafes, casinos, and even a shopping area.

By 5pm the ship left, and we were on our way to Cadiz in Spain.

Stay tuned for the next Travel Journal on Sunday.
