Christmas Countdown – Series One

I love Christmas. Growing up, my Nanna instilled in me the importance of love and unity during Advent. It was Nanna who inspired my own passion of giving and connecting during this time of the year.

To recognise the nearing of Christmas, I am creating a three part series to share with you the ways that I celebrate. In today’s series, I will share my favourite Christmas carols with you all.

I personally find it most enjoyable when my family and I spend Christmas morning together, listening to beautiful carols. It is a time as a family, that we truly cherish, and appreciate how lucky we are to have each other.

In no particular order, here is my Christmas playlist:

Happy Xmas (War Is Over) – John Lennon

Blue Christmas – Elvis Presley and Martina McBride

Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) – Michael Bublé

All I Want For Christmas Is You – Mariah Carey

Last Christmas – Wham!

Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree – Brenda Lee

Jingle Bell Rock – Bobby Helms

Mistletoe – Justin Bieber

Baby It’s Cold Outside – Dean Martin

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas – Frank Sinatra

Wonderful Christmas Time – Paul McCartney

Santa Tell Me – Ariana Grande

White Christmas – Michael Bublé

It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year – Andy Williams

Christmas is a time of giving and receiving love. It is a time to welcome others, and find peace. Listening to Christmas carols is only one of the ways that I celebrate Christmas in the month of December. More will be revealed in next Thursday’s post.

To listen to the songs above on Spotify, find my playlist here.
