It has been a while since my last post, and I am thinking of explaining everything in a more personal blog post soon. But for now, I want to share with you some of the things I bought over the weekend (a little bit of retail therapy never hurt nobody, right? – except my wallet of course).
I never used to love makeup or the process of applying it, but this year I have really taken an interest in it. I often watch Youtube tutorials, which inspire me to try new looks.
Over the weekend, I decided to shop for some makeup. I was mainly focused on purchasing things for my eyes and lips, as I am in love with my foundation and do not think I will need another one any time soon. (Click here to read what foundation, translucent powder, bronzer and primer I use on a daily basis). Here are some of the items I purchased…
Too Faced – Melted Lipstick in the Melted Peony shade
Not only was I forever finding the Too Faced Melted Lipstick range in my Instagram feed, but I was also told how great it was by a friend of mine. I tried it out for myself, and I was definitely not disappointed.
What I love most about this product is its long wearing qualities. I often wear it to university, and find that I never have to reapply it during the day. #yay
Kit Cosmetics – Polka Dot Moisturising Socks
I have had my eye on these for a while, but I could never justify purchasing them. When I finally bought them, my feet thanked me for it.
When I wear these socks, I put them on after I have a shower before bed, and wake up with the smoothest and nicest smelling feet. Not to mention how cute these socks are, am I right?
Lancôme Grandiôse Mascara
Does anyone watch Lauren Curtis Youtube tutorials? When I do, I am always in awe of her eyelashes. I always wonder how I can get long lashes like hers without getting eyelash extensions. I know Lauren does not have extensions, but I have found it hard with my previous mascaras to mimic her look.
With this mascara, achieving long- looking eyelashes is actually possible. I promise you. The swan-neck shaped wand also makes it easy to apply the mascara, and to reach every eyelash.
Lancôme Crayon Khôl
For some reason, I have never had an eyeliner. This is mostly because I have never been confident in using it, but I decided that it was finally time to have a go. Since purchasing this liner in the shade Noir, it has added depth to the looks I create for my eyes. Instead of applying the liner straight to my eyes with the pencil, I use an angled brush. This makes the liner ideal even for a soft and natural look, and is especially great for those new to eyeliner like me!
