I think it is a misconception that university life is somewhat more relaxed than high school. I have personally found university to be very fast paced and stressful at times, but that is not to say that I do not like it. In fact, I am thoroughly enjoying my time at the University of Melbourne (to all you high school students reading this, things do get better, trust me)!
To take a break from the plethora of unread readings sitting on my desk (all you B.A students will feel my pain), I decided to treat my self. I splurged a little and had a Cellular Hydrating Facial at Crown Spa, Melbourne.
For readers of my previous blog, you will be familiar with the importance I place on maintaining healthy skin. I felt that the hydrating nature of this facial was perfect for my skin, as I have recently found it to be dry, despite my skincare regime of exfoliating twice a week. (If anyone has any advice, please let me know!) I also love that Crown Spa use La Prairie skincare products for their facial treatments, which left my skin feeling ultra clean and soft!
For anyone who has not had the chance to visit the Crown complex itself, even the atriums and hotel lobbies are well decorated. The Crown Spa was no exception. The day spa has an elegant atmosphere, with interesting artworks displayed around the centre. Unfortunately I did not take photographs inside the facial suite itself as I wanted to be technology free for the hour of my treatment.
I cannot complain about my Crown Spa experience. The staff were lovely and the environment itself is both sophisticated and calming, giving you the perfect opportunity to escape from the stresses of life, and just focus on you.
If you want to treat yo’ self, visit the Crown Spa website. I would like to note that you should not feel as though Crown Spa is the only way to go when looking into booking yourself a facial treatment. Keep in mind that local day spas (in your main street or local shopping centre) are just as good when it comes to waxing, facials, manicures and pedicures, so long as you are aware of the products they use, and feel that they are suitable for your skin.
